Terms and Conditions on Using the Web-based Resource Platform for Citizenship and Social Development

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE USING THE WEB-BASED RESOURCE PLATFORM FOR CITIZENSHIP AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT (HEREAFTER REFERRED AS “THIS WEBSITE”). BY USING THIS WEBSITE YOU AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT BELOW.

A) Copyright Notice 

The content available on this website, including but not limited to all text, graphics, drawings, diagrams, photographs and compilation of data or other materials are subject to copyright owned by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“the Government”) or other entities. Teachers of Government schools, Aided schools, Direct Subsidy Scheme schools, Caput schools and registered Private schools that offer or are planning to offer Citizenship and Social Development, and other professional partners authorised by the Education Bureau (“EDB”), are the sole legitimate users (collectively hereafter referred as “Users”) of this website. Except as expressly permitted herein or where prior written authorisation is obtained from the EDB, any distribution, dissemination or making available of such copyright works to the public is strictly prohibited.

Provided that Users use the following resources provided on this website for non-commercial internal use related to the teaching of Citizenship and Social Development and provided further that these Terms and Conditions are downloaded at the same time, permission is granted to Users as follows:

1. With the exception of audio and video resources, permission is granted to Users to download, modify, print and duplicate the resources on this website, and to store them in local computers;
2. Users are permitted to play, but not to duplicate or store, streamed audio and video resources provided on this website; and
3. For non-streamed audio and video resources, Users are permitted to play them and store them in local computers in schools, but are not permitted to duplicate them or to make them available for further downloading anywhere.

Users should note that these permissions only apply to copyright materials owned by the Government. Where third party copyrights are involved, an appropriate notice will appear in this website.

While the Government endeavours to ensure the accuracy of this general information, no statement, representation, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, is given as to its accuracy or appropriateness for use in any particular circumstances.
